Instructions

This Is the Only Level presents a single, short stretch of platforming as its entire game — except every time you successfully clear it, the next attempt at the "same" level quietly changes something: gravity might flip, your jump might work differently, or a new hazard appears where there wasn't one before.

Because nothing about the run is announced in advance, the actual skill is noticing what's changed as quickly as possible after a level restarts, rather than relying on muscle memory from the previous pass.

The joke escalates as you progress — later passes often combine multiple earlier twists at once, so a rule you learned three attempts ago can suddenly reappear alongside something entirely new.

Controls

Arrow keys or WASD — move and jump — though exactly what these do can change each attempt
Space — jump / interact, subject to the same caveat

Tips to Master This Is the Only Level

Assume nothing carries over from the last attempt. The whole premise is that a rule you relied on a moment ago might now work differently or not at all.

Test movement immediately on a new attempt

Tapping a direction or jump right at the start of each new pass quickly reveals what's changed before you're committed to a risky section.

Expect combinations of earlier twists later on

Once you've seen several individual changes, later attempts tend to stack them together rather than introducing something completely unrelated each time.
