Instructions

Use the arrow keys to move and press Space to jump; Space also triggers Sonic's attack, since jumping directly on top of an enemy is the only way to defeat them in this build.

Rings scattered through each Act act as a buffer against damage: getting hit while carrying rings scatters them instead of costing a life, so keeping a decent ring count is what actually protects Sonic from losing progress on a hit.

Because rings scatter and become briefly collectible again after a hit, a quick recovery grab right after taking damage can restore some of the lost buffer before continuing, rather than treating a hit as a total loss of collected rings.

Tips to Master Supersonic

Because getting hit while holding rings scatters them instead of costing a life directly, maintaining a healthy ring count functions as a safety margin — running through an Act with zero rings means the very next hit costs a life outright, so topping up on rings before a risky section matters as much as speed.

Jumping is the only offense against enemies

Since enemies can only be defeated by jumping directly on top of them, approaching from the side or below leaves Sonic vulnerable to taking a hit instead of landing one — positioning for a clean jump onto an enemy's top is the only reliable way to clear it rather than running through it.

Scattered rings can be partially recovered after a hit

Because rings lost from a hit scatter nearby and remain briefly collectible, grabbing back some of that scattered ring buffer immediately after taking a hit restores part of the safety margin rather than accepting the loss as permanent for that Act.
