Instructions

The Fancy Pants Adventure is a momentum-first platformer: your character builds speed as you run, and that speed is meant to be used, not fought — sliding into a curve, chaining a wall-jump off a wall you're sprinting toward, and rolling out of a fall all keep you moving instead of stopping you dead.

Enemies, drawn as simple black scribbly blobs, are dealt with by stomping on them rather than fighting directly, splattering them into ink on contact from above.

Levels are scattered with collectible flags and bonus items that reward exploring off the fastest route, but the game's real hook is how good full-speed traversal feels once you're chaining moves together smoothly.

Controls

Arrow keys or WASD — run and move
Z or Space — jump, and jump again off a wall while sliding down it
X — stomp attack on enemies from above

Tips to Master The Fancy Pants Adventure

Keep your momentum, don't stop it. Sliding around a curve or rolling out of a landing keeps your speed going, while stopping and restarting from a standstill loses most of what makes the movement feel good.

Wall-jump chains cross gaps a normal jump can't

Running at a wall and jumping off it mid-slide often reaches ledges that look unreachable from a flat-footed jump.

Stomp instead of avoiding enemies

Since enemies pose almost no threat from directly above, jumping onto them to clear a path is usually faster and safer than trying to route around them.
