Instructions

Move with WASD or the arrow keys; in single-player the same character handles both movement and ice block actions, while two-player mode splits controls between Player 1 on arrow keys with Space to fire ice, and Player 2 on WASD with F.

Press the action key to fire an ice block in the direction you are facing, which either blocks an enemy's path or builds a bridge across gaps; pressing it again on an existing block breaks that entire row or column of connected ice blocks at once.

Every piece of fruit in a level must be collected to clear it, so a level is not finished just by avoiding enemies — reaching fruit that requires building an ice bridge or trapping an enemy out of the way is often the actual obstacle, not survival alone.

Tips to Master Bad Ice Cream 1

Firing a second ice block into an already-placed one breaks the entire connected row or column at once rather than just that single block, which is useful both for freeing a path you sealed off by accident and for collapsing a wall of ice out from under a trapped enemy.

Ice blocks trap enemies, they don't damage them

Since there is no direct attack on enemies, the only way to neutralize a threat is boxing it in with ice blocks so it cannot reach you while you collect nearby fruit — firing blocks reactively as an enemy approaches is less reliable than sealing off its path before it gets close.

Fruit placement, not enemy avoidance, decides most levels

Because clearing a level requires collecting every piece of fruit rather than simply surviving, fruit placed across gaps or behind blocked paths is usually the real puzzle — building an ice bridge to reach isolated fruit matters as much as staying away from enemies.
